Become, health, wellness, connection, doTERRA

This week I am in Salt Lake City, Utah attending doTERRA’s annual connection. They use the term connection instead of convention because they really want you to connect. Connect with people, concepts, products, science and the culture of doTERRA. doTERRA is a very unique company and attending a convention just won’t suffice alone. There has to be connection for you move forward and accomplish your goals and dreams.

Remember I shared my dream of presenting at connection? I am determined to make that happen.

This year’s theme is “Becoming.” Don’t you want to become all you can be? Be the best you? I know I do! But how do I become all I want to be. I will do it one step at a time, it is a journey. How do I:

·      Become more healthy

·      Become more gracious and loving in my relationships

·      Become a better wife

·      Become a better friend

·      Become more understanding with others

·      Become more successful financially

·      Become more faithful to God

I could go on; there are many areas in my life where I can become much more. My “aha” moment today is one I will share because it demonstrates that small choices make a difference, become a foundation to build upon, and become an inspiration that is an integral part of our journey.

In the airport this morning, there was an issue with my boarding pass. It wasn’t in the airline’s computer system although I had my electronic pass. I had to return to the ticket counter and get a hard copy of the  boarding pass. As the attendant looked at the e-pass on my phone, she advised me that the computer scanner probably didn’t read my e-pass because it appeared yellow, it should be blue for the computer to recognize the boarding pass. All electronic devices are set to emit blue light, and we are bombarded with too much blue light. As she was printing me a paper boarding pass, I told her I intentionally set all my devices to not emit blue light for my health. (You can change this in your device settings) She sighed and responded that everything is bad for you these days.

Now the attendant is correct that there is so much around us beyond our control, but I can control the blue light emissions from my phone and laptop. It is one small step I can take for my health. A choice I made on my journey to become more healthy. Everyday we make choices and have the ability to become more.

Here is a challenge for you today. Look at one area of your life where you are dreaming big; make a choice, take a small step to start moving you closer to that dream, begin the journey, and become more!

By the way, the issue with the boarding pass wasn’t the yellow light!
